Wakol PU 280 Moisture Barrier

One-component waterproof primer for priming porous/absorbent and non-porous subfloors and for rigidifying soft subfloor surfaces. WAKOL PU 280 Moisture Barrier is a premium moisture barrier for “green” concrete slabs and for concrete and offers two levels of moisture protection.

One component premium moisture barrier and primer for:

Porous/absorbent subfloors
Non-porous/non-absorbent subfloors
Solidifying soft subfloor surfaces (including gypsum and lightweight concrete)

Encapsulating non-water-soluble adhesive residue (including ?cut-back?)

Coverage and Application

One coat will block moisture in concrete slabs up to12 lbs. /1000 sq. ft. / 24 hour (ASTM F 1869) or up to 90 % rH (ASTM F 2170-02)
Two coats will block moisture in concrete slabs up to 18 lbs. / 1000 sq. ft. / 24 hours (ASTM F 1869) or up to 98 % rH (ASTM F 2170-02). No moisture test required: The concrete must be surface dry, at least 28 days old and must have an intact structural waterproofing membrane beneath the slab.
Two Coats can also be used to block moisture up to 6 lbs. / 1000 sq. ft. / 24 hours (ASTM F 1869) or up to 85 % rH (ASTM F 2170-02) over-radiant heat.
Jobsite conditions must meet ASTM, NWFA, or RFCI Guidelines. Doors and windows must be installed and the HVAC running to simulate the living environment climate conditions at work site: 60?F to 75?F / 15?C to 24?C, 40% to 65% relative humidity. Acclimate materials during cold periods properly.
Odor and Stability

Very slight non-offensive odor.
Zero VOCs.
Shelf life of one year in an unopened container.
Necessary Tools and Materials

No mixing required.
Solvent free, water free.
Mineral spirits before primer cures.
Drying Process

Fast drying – approximately 45 minutes.
Not affected by water when cured.
Cleanup

Application tools should be thoroughly cleaned with water and stored in an airtight container.
